PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of predicting increase of a crack, by considering variations in errors caused by inspection operators and inspection methods. SOLUTION: A method for predicting the increase of the crack is provided, which includes: a correlation information creating step of measuring a length of the crack taking place in an object to be inspected by employing a plurality of inspection operators and/or a plurality of inspection methods, and creating correlation information between data obtained by above measurements and an actual state of the crack; a crack length estimating step of estimating the length of the crack taking place in the object to be inspected, based on the correlation information and the crack length measured by an inspection operator in the inspection of the object to be inspected; and a crack increase curve estimating step of estimating a crack increase curve for the object to be inspected, which uses the crack length as its start point estimated by the crack length estimating step.
