PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition stone type safe lighter which enables one-touch ignition, and of which the ignition method cannot be easily learned by young children. SOLUTION: The ignition stone type safe lighter is provided with an ignition device using ignition stone and a file wheel, and has a configuration preventing ignition by small children. In a shaft hole rotatably supporting a rotating shaft of the file wheel, the center of the rotating shaft is directly movable among a first position O<SB>1</SB>separated from a tank body held all the time, a second position O<SB>2</SB>located nearer to the tank body side from the first position O<SB>1</SB>and set on the centerline of the ignition stone and a third position O<SB>3</SB>located on the side opposite to a nozzle from a line connecting the first position O<SB>1</SB>to the second position O<SB>2</SB>.
