摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor in which high uniformity of an electrostatic latent image can be obtained between the start side of coating and the end side of coating of a photosensitive layer without depending only on changing the deposition quantity of a charge generating material. SOLUTION: A layered type electrophotographic photoreceptor is provided, which includes a base layer comprising at least either a conductive layer or an intermediate layer or both layers and a photosensitive layer on a support, and a photosensitive layer formed by a dip coating method. The surface of the base layer has a plurality of recessed portions each independent from others, in which the major axial diameter (Rpc) of the surface aperture of each recessed portion is not more than 30μm, while the minor axial diameter (Lpc) of the surface aperture of each recessed portion is not less than 1.0μm, and the distance between the deepest portion of the recessed portion and the aperture face is gradually increased from recessed portions formed in the start side of coating toward recessed portions formed in the end side of coating.
