PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching regulator and an operation control method thereof, which are high in the stability of control, and can improve a frequency property. SOLUTION: A feedback circuit 4 generates a feedback voltage Vdfb which corresponds to a duty cycle of a switch signal Sqb, a PWM comparator 5 generates a PWM pulse signal Spwm of a duty cycle which corresponds to a voltage difference between the generated feedback voltage Vdfb and an error voltage Ve, and an RS flip-flop circuit 7 generates the switch signal Sqb from the PWM pulse signal Spwm and a prescribed clock signal CLK, and outputs it to each gate of a switching transistor M1 and a synchronous rectifying transistor M2.
