PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for cutting off an iron core, which apparatus can excellently fix a core in cutting off the laminated iron core, and can increase the stability of the laminated iron core to be supported by the core, and can improve the efficiency of the cutting-off work of the laminated iron core. SOLUTION: A cutting blade 170 moves from outside the annular laminated iron core 130 toward the core 140 arranged in an inside hollow portion, and cuts off the laminated iron core 130. The core 140 is not only pressed by means of an opposed pressing member 160 toward the direction opposed to the cutting-off direction of the laminated iron core 130 but also fixed by a vertically fixing member 200 for applying a force substantially perpendicular to the cutting-off direction of the laminated iron core 130 to the core 140.
