PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network scanning system capable of ensuring security during transmission of scanned data, and to provide an image reader. SOLUTION: The scanned data is transmitted only, when a sender of the scanned data and an active login user of a local computer 20 of a transmission destination satisfy a prescribed condition.
