PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile object posture position detection device which is mounted on or built in a measured object, and can be suitably used in any environments. SOLUTION: The device includes a means for calculating posture angle information, translation position information, and image posture information of three axes on a space of a mobile object as the measured object, and a means for calculating six-axis posture information of the mobile object on the space by respective information of the posture angle information, the translation position information, and the image posture information. A translation position detection means detects acceleration information in a translation direction of the space on orthogonal three axes. An image processing posture detection means extracts and stores a plurality of feature points out of the image which images around the device are input chronologically, searches and detects feature point information such as coordinates or the like of the previously stored feature points, detects a motion vetor of the image from displacement in the two dimensional image of the feature points, and narrows a range of search detection by estimating two-dimensional motion of the feature points on image data based on the posture angle information and acceleration information in the translation direction.
