PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of suppressing frost formation on an outdoor heat exchanger to prevent the deterioration of a heating capacity by frost formation even in an operation condition of a low outside air temperatures and easily frosting. SOLUTION: A third heat exchanger 107 is disposed between thin connection piping 106 and an expansion valve 108. By this constitution, a warm refrigerant flows from an indoor heat exchanger 104 to a third heat exchanger 107, and air heat-exchanged with the refrigerant is heated to a temperature higher than that of outside air. As air flowing into the outdoor heat exchanger 109 positioned at a downstream side to a wind flow is heated, frosting can be suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
