PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase returning force when torque is released by increasing the spring constant of an inner centering spring. SOLUTION: This clutch unit comprises a lever side clutch part 11 for controlling the connection/disconnection of torque to an output side by operating a lever and a brake side clutch part 12 for transmitting an input torque from the lever side clutch part 11 to an output side and disconnecting a reverse input torque from the output side. The lever side clutch part 11 has a retainer 17 holding a plurality of cylindrical rollers 16 for controlling the connection/disconnection of an input torque from the lever side outer ring 14. The brake side clutch part 12 has a cover 24 restrained in the rotating direction. An inner centering spring 18 in which an elastic force is accumulated by an input torque from the lever side outer ring 14 and which returns the retainer 17 to the neutral state by the accumulated elastic force by releasing the input torque is disposed between the retainer 14 and the cover 24.
