PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing structure which is set up by extending a reinforcing member between a building and a joint portion between a column structural material and a sill of the building, to thereby reinforce the joint portion, wherein the reinforcing structure exerts excellent resistance against tensile shear force, elongation force, pulling, and tearing at the joint portion between the column structural material and the sill. SOLUTION: The reinforcing structure is constructed by setting the reinforcing member which is formed of a mounting metallic member to be mounted on the building and the building structural material, a surface metallic member, and an energy absorbing body interposed between and pinched by the former and the latter, in one body, at the joint portion between the column structural material and the sill in a manner striding the same. Then an auxiliary member formed of a plate-shaped metallic member, is arranged between the sill and a foundation, and an end of the surface metallic member striding the joint portion is connected and fixed to the plate-shaped metallic member that is fixed to the foundation.
