<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus having enhanced intuitiveness in operating of an operation button for music reproduction and the like, and improved design. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus 1 includes: a display unit 6; a drive circuit for driving the display unit 6; a base chassis 5 which is made of a transparent material and includes a first region which protrudes from at least a part of an outer circumferential edge of the display unit 6 and is provided with the operation buttons 410 to 419 for operating the drive circuit; and an illuminating means for illuminating the operation buttons 410 to 419. Since operations for music reproduction and the like can be performed by the operation buttons provided on the base chassis disposed adjacently to the display unit, intuitiveness of operations can be enhanced.
