PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crash device of an automobile, in particular, a crash box having a deformation body for absorbing the energy in a collision. SOLUTION: The crash device of the automobile, in particular, the crash box has a deformation body for absorbing the energy in a collision, and the deformation body is composed of two half-split members. Each half-split member has a bead extending in the lateral direction with respect to the main deformation direction. Each half-split member has an outwardly projecting flange.
