PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a designed material which can be produced and installed in a reduced cost and has a surface capable of being desined with ease. SOLUTION: The designed material has a substrate 1 formed into the shape of a plate or a sheet having flexibility, a metal layer 2 made of a stainless steel material or an aluminum material formed in a thin film on the surface of the substrate 1, an adhesion sealer 3 which is applied on the surface of the metal layer 2 and to which a design formed from desired colors and patterns has been applied, and a transparent top coat 4 applied on the surface of the adhesion sealer 3.
