PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To turn a material so that a lubrication film is uniformly formed on the material. SOLUTION: A barrel turning mechanism 100 turns a material in a solution vessel (not shown in Figure) storing a lubrication film forming solution, and is provided with: a barrel body 10 on the inner surface of which protrusion parts 14 are formed, a barrel lid 20, a main shaft 30, a driven shaft 40, a turning force transmission controlling part 50, a main shaft turning force transmitting part 60, and a driven shaft turning force transmitting part 70. When the main shaft 30 is turned, the barrel body 10 housing the material is turned through the main shaft turning force transmitting part 60. When the barrel body 10 is turned, the material in a constraint state in the barrel body 10 is released from the state by the protrusion parts 14. Further, when the driven shaft 40 is turned, the barrel lid 20 is turned through the driven shaft turning force transmitting part 70. The driven shaft 40 rotates, when the turning force of the main shaft 30 is transmitted through the turning force transmission controlling part 50, or when turning force is given from the outside.
