An excavation system for an excavator comprises a stereoscopic image data generator(10) photographing the topographical shape of a construction site and the work situation of an excavator(1) and processing the photographed image, and then generating a three-dimensional stereoscopic image data, a DB server(20) receiving the stereoscopic image data from the stereoscopic image data generator and storing, a terminal(30) receiving the stored stereoscopic image data in the DB server and setting up an excavation work of the excavator by stages on the basis of the received stereoscopic image data, and transferring the data on the excavation work set by stages to the excavator, and a data supplier(40) receiving the data on the excavation work by stages from the terminal and supplying to the excavator to make an excavator perform an excavation work by stages.
