<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly distinguish each of a plurality of pieces of sound data that are to be the objects of retrieval. <P>SOLUTION: A storage device 20 stores the plurality of pieces of sound data D. An indicated value setting part 12 changes indicated value x, according to operations to an operation element. A variable control part 14 controls reproduction variables P, corresponding to each of the plurality of pieces of sound data D, according to the indicated value x. For example, the variable control part 14 continuously decreases the reproduction variable P of one piece of sound data D and continuously increases the reproduction variable P of the other piece of sound data, accompanying the change in the indicated value x.
