摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing structure for a turbocharger capable of inhibiting generation of noise caused by whirl vibration of a rotary shaft in the turbocharger of which rotary shaft connecting a turbine wheel and a compressor wheel is rotatably supported by a hydraulic bearing. <P>SOLUTION: The hydraulic bearings 50a, 50b form hydraulic layers of lubricating oil between a rotary shaft 41 of an impeller and inner circumference surfaces 52a, 52b of floating metals 51a, 51b, and rotatably supports the rotary shaft 41 via the hydraulic layer. The inner circumference surfaces 52a, 52b of the floating metals 51a, 51b are formed in tapered surfaces to guide inclination of the rotary shaft 41 due to precession of the rotary shaft 41 generated by an influence of turning flow formed in the hydraulic layer. Inertia moment of the impeller in precession is increased by increasing distance between a support of precession and a center of gravity of the impeller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
