<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity joint maintaining a velocity stability characteristics over a long period of time and smoothly incorporating a cage in the outer ring, and also to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: By setting the diameter A of a through hole 151a to be larger than the diameter B of a ball 152, the ball 152 can move in a radial direction within the through hole 151a. As a result, when the ball 152 abuts against the cup portion 141 of the outer ring 140 when inserting an insertion section 151 of the cage 150 in an annular space of the outer ring, the ball 152 moves toward the axial center, so that the insertion section 151 of the cage 150 is smoothly inserted in the annular space 144 of the outer ring 140. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
