<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of increasing a bit-modeling processing speed, in encoding or decoding image data, and to provide its method. <P>SOLUTION: In the image processing, a bit modeling part 8 is provided with a means 53 for classifying data of a CU path, an SP path and an MR path in each bit plane of code block data subjected to absolute value conversion, wherein the classifying means has loop processing paths S13 to S17 for repeating the classification processing of data for each path by every bit plane, and loop processing paths S18 and A19 for repeating only the processing for classifying data to the MR path in the subsequent bit planes, when that all the data on a certain bit plane are classified to the MR path is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
