PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal magnesium melting/evaporating device capable of producing magnesium steam in which the mixed content of heavy metals is reduced, over a long period. SOLUTION: The metal magnesium melting/evaporating device is composed of: a metal magnesium melting pan of which the upper part is provided with a metal magnesium introduction port and the side lower part is provided with a molten magnesium discharge port; a heat resistant pipe connected to the molten magnesium discharge port in the melting pan; and a magnesium evaporating pan of which the side lower part is provided with a molten magnesium introduction port connected to the other edge part of the heat resistant pipe, and the upper part is provided with a magnesium steam outlet, wherein the distance from the molten magnesium introduction port to the bottom part in the evaporating pan is longer than the distance from the molten magnesium discharge port to the bottom part in the melting pan.
