PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coke reactivity evaluating method for obtaining the weight reduction amount of coke which is used for quality evaluation of coke on a condition closer to an actual blast furnace. SOLUTION: In this coke reactivity evaluating method for reproducing a temperature range and reaction gas concentration in a coke reacting state in the blast furnace in a reaction vessel 9 in which a sample coke layer is charged, and finding the weight reduction amount of the sample coke layer charged in the reaction vessel 9 by measuring the weight of the reaction chamber 9, an alkali steam generating layer having a mixed layer of KOH powder and coke is reacted as a primary sample coke layer in the reaction vessel 9, the weight reduction amount of the primary sample coke layer which is measured after alkali steam is generated is used as a correction value, a secondary sample coke layer formed by disposing coke for alkali deposition on a new alkali steam generating layer is then reacted in the reaction vessel 9, and the value obtained by deducting the correction value of the weight reduction amount from the weight reduction amount of the secondary sample coke which is measured after alkali steam is generated is used as the net weight reduction amount of coke for alkali deposition.
