PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method 100 for manufacturing a new shade guide. SOLUTION: First, the color numerical value of a known color element 15 of the shade guide 10 is determined by brightness, hue and saturation. In the next step, the color-to-color distance 16 of the brightness numerical value and/or hue and/or saturation of the previously determined color numerical value is enlarged to determine the numerical value of a new color element.
