PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope system with a broader field of view, which allows an endoscope to be user-friendly, especially a rear field of view of an insertion part to be observed. SOLUTION: The electronic endoscope system is characterized in that it comprises an imaging surface for a solid imaging element, which is divided into two imaging regions, and an objective lens system with a front field of view direction to an insertion axis of the insertion part and an objective lens system with a rear field of view direction to the insertion axis, which are arranged on the two-divided imaging region, so as to simultaneously/separately image and display images of the fields of view in the two directions, and to provide a user with a wide range of observation field of view in the front/rear direction.
