PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand dryer having a movable nozzle part for blowing a high-speed airflow, and capable of adjusting the position of a drying part and a projecting distance. SOLUTION: This hand dryer is provided with: a high-pressure airflow generator 4 for sucking outside air, and generating and blowing the high-pressure airflow, in a body 2; an air duct 8 for guiding the high-pressure airflow generated by the high-pressure airflow generator 4; and the movable nozzle part 10 having rigidity, having a nozzle 9 converting the high-pressure airflow into the high-speed airflow, at the tip and substantially horizontally projecting into an arm shape from the upper part of the body 2; and is constituted to dry the hands by the high-speed airflow blowing from the nozzle 9 in the drying space under the nozzle part 10.
