A method for the position determination of mobile wireless devices is claimed, which can be operated with a damped leaky feeder in the uplink or downlink method. During the uplink method, the level of the signal of the mobile wireless device is measured at both ends of the leaky feeder. During the downlink method, a signal is coupled into the ends of the leaky feeder, the signals having different frequencies. The level of the signal is measured with the mobile wireless device. In both cases, two level values are obtained, of which the difference is obtained. After correcting the level difference, the value is adjusted with tabular values or a calibration function of the leaky feeder, thereby determining the position. |
