PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonaqueous dispersion of resin particles having uniform shape and particle diameter. SOLUTION: A method for producing resin particles (C) includes: dispersing a solution, prepared by dissolving a resin (b) or a precursor (bO) of the resin (b) in an organic solvent (M) having a lower boiling point than a nonaqueous organic solvent (L), in a dispersion prepared by dispersing fine particles (A) in the nonaqueous organic solvent (L), wherein when the solution of the precursor (bO) in the organic solvent (M) is used, the precursor (bO) is allowed to react; forming resin particles (B) comprising the resin (b) in the dispersion of the fine particles (A) to form a nonaqueous dispersion (X) of resin particles (C) having a structure in which the fine particles (A) bond to the surfaces of the resin particles (B); removing the organic solvent (M); and removing the organic solvent (L).
