<p>Provided are an airbag, which can be quickly inflated without using any inflator of a high output, and an airbag device which is equipped with the airbag. A normally open type vent hole (20) is arranged in such a region of a rear panel (14) of an airbag (10) as is expanded to the side closer to the center of a steering wheel than the rims (50) of the steering wheel when the airbag (10) is inflated. An opening/closing type vent hole (22) is arranged in a region which is expanded to the outer side of the steering wheel than the rims (50). The opening/closing type vent hole (22) is covered with a cover member (60). This cover member (60) and suspending strings (80) in the airbag (10) are connected through a tether (70). The cover member (60) overlaps the opening/closing type vent hole (22) from the expansion starting time, thereby to close the opening/closing type vent hole (22).</p> |
