A method for transmitting/receiving uplink resource information in single carrier frequency division multiple access system is provided to notify resource assigning information by using the number of remaining resources except a usable resource number, thereby reducing the number of bits of uplink scheduling information of which a base station notifies a terminal. A scheduler determines the number(m) of RB to be assigned to terminals in a base station(301). The base station finds out index information mapped in the RB number(302). Resource information(X) to be signaled is determined according to an equation(303). The base station informs the terminal of an X value which is resource information to a control channel(304).
