<p>A capsulated colorant is provided to be used for an ink composition capable of realizing a character with excellent water resistance, light-proof, abrasion resistance and optical density and an image with excellent durability and printing gloss, by controlling the crosslinkage of the polymer resin. A capsulated colorant comprises a colorant and polymer resin coating the colorant and having a bridge structure. A method for manufacturing a capsulated colorant comprises a step for emulsifying a polymeric composition consisting of polymeric unsaturated monomer, aqueous media, colorant, cross-linking monomer, chain transfer agent, emulsifier and polymerization initiator; and a step for forming the polymer resin having a bridge structure coating the colorant by polymerizing the polymeric unsaturated monomer and the cross-linking monomer on the colorant.</p> |
