An apparatus for removing dirt from a welding unit to reinforce a strip is provided to prevent a strip defect after rolling by removing the dirt. An apparatus for removing dirt from a welding unit to reinforce a strip includes the followings: a brush roll(10) rotating on an upper part of the welding unit and removing the dirt(p) on the strip; a dirt remove unit(20) having a cleaning motor which supplies torque of a reverse/forward direction, connected to the brush roll; a moving body(26) having the brush and the dirt removing unit; a traverse motor(52) and a guide unit moving the moving body to a width direction of the strip; and a moving unit(50).
