<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying truck and an optical ranging device capable of detecting obstacles with excellent accuracy even when the size of each obstacle is small, and avoiding occurrence of any accident in advance while avoiding an increase of the cost of components. <P>SOLUTION: The conveying truck is mobile along a traveling rail installed in an upper space, and has a built-in elevating/lowering mechanism for elevating/lowering an elevating/lowering body equipped with a chucking mechanism for chucking an object to be conveyed along a predetermined elevating/lowering path. The optical ranging device for detecting presence/absence of any obstacle on the elevating/lowering path is mounted on the elevating/lowering body. The searching distance of the obstacle by the optical ranging device is set to be shorter than the distance between the optical ranging device and a loading surface of the object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
