PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filling liquid that is free from discharge failure in use even in a severe transport and storage environment by reducing a quantity of evaporation of a filling liquid that is in an equilibrium state, as much as possible, and to provide a cartridge for filling liquid, image recording method, and an image recorder.

SOLUTION: The filling liquid contains at least a humectant and fills the ink passage of the image recorder. The quantity of evaporation of the filling liquid that is in an equilibrium state in an environment with a temperature of 20°C and 60% humidity RH is 30% or less.
