<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device uniformly dispersing and flowing reducing-agent-mixed exhaust gas into a reducing catalyst, in an exhaust emission control device of configuration in which an exhaust gas flow direction is bent immediately before the reducing catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine has the reducing catalyst and a reducing agent injection part. An exhaust guide chamber is disposed upstream of the reducing agent. The exhaust gas flows in the exhaust guide chamber from a side with respect to the exhaust gas flow direction passing through the reducing catalyst. An inlet side of the reducing catalyst of an exhaust passage to which the reducing catalyst is disposed is extended toward the inside of the exhaust guide chamber. A cover member with exhaust gas through holes is disposed to an end part of the extended exhaust passage, a reducing agent injection part is disposed to a surface opposed to a reducing catalyst inlet surface of the exhaust guide chamber, a clearance between the opposed surface and the cover member constitutes and exhaust gas passage, and a mixer mixing and dispersing the reducing agent with exhaust gas is disposed to the cover member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
