PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more surely decide failures of a sensor system constituted of a plurality of rotary angle sensors in a steering assisting device including a steering force assisting device and a transmission ratio varying device. SOLUTION: First pinion angle and second pinion angle are determined by separately using a detection value of an output shaft rotary angle sensor 34 and a detection value of a first actuator rotary angle sensor 62, in the steering force assisting device 100. A third pinion angle is calculated from detection values of two sensors 70 and 72 provided in the transmission ratio varying device 200. By mutually comparing the first to the third pinion angles, failures of the sensors are decided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
