SEALED BATTERY AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery which has less internal short circuit and has a high reliability by preventing movement of spattered dust into an electrode body when a current collector is resistance welded to a core in the electrode body of a sealed battery having an exposed part of a positive electrode core and a negative electrode core respectively at both ends. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the sealed battery comprises processes of: forming an electrode body 11 for the sealed battery having respectively a plurality of sheets of positive electrode core exposed parts 14 and negative electrode core exposed parts 15 at both ends; contacting respectively a negative electrode current collector 181and a negative electrode current collector receiving part 183to both sides of a welding portion of at least the negative electrode core exposed parts 15 through a tape 23a consisting of a thermal adhesive resin having an opening 231formed in the center; and resistance welding by flowing electric current to the negative electrode current collector 181and the negative electrode current collector receiving part 183on both sides.
