PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber capturing member capable of excellently separating fibers from powder in a dry state, and to provide a foreign matter separating apparatus with the fiber capturing member. SOLUTION: The fiber capturing member 6, in which a plurality of projections 62A are formed on the surface of a main body 61, is moved on a net, so that the fibers included in the powder before passing through the net are captured by the fiber capturing member 6. Each projection 62A is formed in a hook shape having a curved part 62B on the distal end part, and has a configuration similar to the one of the projection formed on the hook surface of a hook-and-loop fastener for instance. Thus, by moving the fiber capturing member 6 so as to be in contact with the powder in the dry state on the net, the fibers included in the powder are stuck to the respective projections and thus the fibers are excellently separated from the powder.
