A pointer type instrument device with an indicator of uniform luminance which supplies illumination light to a pointer. The pointer type instrument device (1) includes an indicator (2) having an indication element (7) and an illuminator (8), a dial plate (3) having an index part (3a) located around the indicator (2), and a pointer (4) for indicating the index part(3a), wherein the indicator (2) has a case body (6) for containing at least a part of the indication element (7) and the illuminator (8), the case body (6) includes a window part (6d) for exposing the indication element (7) to the case body (6), and an illuminating portion (6e) consisting of a plurality of minute openings (6f) for projecting light of the illuminator (8) is provided on the back surface of the case body (6).
