摘要 A tracking antenna system for an unmanned aerial vehicle and a controlling method thereof are provided to improve tracking performance of the tracking antenna by using an image sensor and estimating location of a target on a screen within a tracked range through GPS(Global Positioning System). A GPS processing module(22) receives GPS information related to a mover(20) and an antenna(21) and outputs information required for calculation of a directivity angle of the antenna. A PCU(Pedestal Control Unit)(23) calculates a directivity angle by using an image from an image sensor installed at the antenna and a GPS coordinate information relates to the mover and the antenna from the GPS processing module, and produces an antenna driving instruction. An antenna driving unit drives the antenna in accordance with the driving instruction from the PCU.
