The loose leaf binder has a back 10 and a binding element 20 made of flexible material. The back 10 has two tracks 13, two side slots 14, and a middle slot 15. The binder 20 has multiple open rings 21. A notebook 50 with loose-leaf papers can be easily attached to the loose-leaf binder by passing the open rings 21 through the punched holes 51 in the notebook 50 simultaneously. The open rings are then slid into the side slots 14 of spine 11 where they are hooked by longitudinal lips (131, figure 3) of tracks 13. The plugs 30, which each have two side tines 33 and a middle tine 32, are then inserted into the ends of spine 11. The latch 322 on the central tine 32 of each plug 30 engages though hole 17 to retain the plug in the back 10. Inclined release surfaces 323 aid removal of the plugs. |
