The circuit has a punching scrap (4) arranged on a circuit carrier (3). The punching scrap includes a disconnection point (7) for disconnection, and the circuit carrier includes a recess (8) assigned to the disconnection point for receiving and/or engaging under disconnection point sections (10) of the punching scrap. The recess is designed as a receiving pocket (9) or aperture. The disconnection point is designed as a predetermined breaking point e.g. punching point and cutting point. The circuit carrier is designed as an aluminum baseplate (14). An independent claim is also included for a method for producing an electrical circuit i.e. power electronics circuit.
