A spectroscopy element is provided to split an incident light into a plurality of wavelength bands by reflecting the incident light to generate a standing wave according to interference to obtain spectral effect using a simple structure. A spectroscopy element includes a metal plate having a polygonal hole having at least one pair of opposite sides whose horizontal cross sections are not parallel. The inner side of the hole corresponds to a mirror image reflecting face(11). The spectroscopy element reflects polarized incident light inputted into the hole according to interference to generate standing waves in the hole to split the incident light into multiple wavelength bands.
