A valve system comprises a closure member 14 disposed within a valve body 12, a linear actuator 16 having a rod member 46 extendable to translate the closure member within the valve body, and a device 32 for moving the linear actuator relative to the valve body to translate the closure member without extending the rod member from the linear actuator. The device for moving the linear actuator may be a mechanical override system which connects the linear actuator to the valve body, and may comprise an interface (62, Fig. 5) for a remotely operated vehicle (ROV), to allow the ROV to operate the mechanical override system. |
