<p>The method involves producing a user name list (10) for a user (11) or a client (12) using a central profile server (6). An identification representing a local profile server (4a, 4b) and a local user name is added to the user name list when the local user name is not entered in the list. A request is made to the server (6) independent of the entry of a profile information under the declaration of local user name from the server (4a, 4b) when the profile information is not transmitted to the server (6) during the requisition by the client or during transmission of the local user name. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a central profile server connected with a local profile server over a communication network (2) a client-server system including an information server, local profile server, central profile server and a client (3) a computer program executable on a client-server system e.g. central profile server, that is connected over a communication network.</p> |
