GATE DRIVING CIRCUIT AND DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A gate driving circuit and display device having the same are provided to reduce the ripple of the gate voltage affecting on the inverter unit to the threshold voltage of diode by adding at least one among diode, transistor and capacitor to the ripple prevention unit of the inverter unit. The pull up part(213) pulls up the present shift gate signal among one frame for the first phase to the first clock. The carry signal is input from one among the previous shift stages to the pull up driver(211). The pull up driver turns on the pull up portion. The pull down part(219) discharges the present shift gate signal to the off voltage and turns off the pull up portion. The holding part(217) holds the present shift gate signal on the level of the off voltage. The inverter unit(216) turns on or off the holding part in response to the first clock. The drain electrode is connected to the input terminal of the inverter unit. The ripple preventing diode prevents that ripple from flowing into the inverter unit.
