The container includes a supporting member 12 and a cover member 14 that at least partially encloses the supporting member and accommodates articles therein for transport purposes. Both members are attached to one another via a frangible portion 35 on one of the two constituent members, the portion generally adhered by glue to the other of the two members. The frangible portion is made so by virtue of a weakened or perforated line 35 (34, Fig.1A), which allows the frangible portion to be teared away, whilst remaining attached by adhesive to the other member. This allows detachment between the two members, and therefore the cover can be separated from the supporting member, which has a generally tray-like form. The supporting member with the contained articles can then be used in display format. An aperture (44, Fig.2A) facilitates a portion of the cover to be pulled away to tear away along with it the frangible portion of the support member in one embodiment. |
