FIELD: physics; measurement. ^ SUBSTANCE: method for determination of sea current vector at different depths impies launching of a diving buoy, which rises to the surface after weight release and determination of the buoy diving and surfacing coordinates. During buoy diving and surfacing its 3D-coordinates are determined repeatedly by transmitting request signals and receiving response signals.
