INTEGRATED INFUSION AND ASPIRATION SYSTEM AND METHOD

An integrated infusion and aspiration system (35) includes of a flow control system (19) and a catheter assembly (20). The catheter assembly (20) include s an infusion catheter (10) and an aspiration catheter (15), each having ports (11, 16) located at the distal end (12, 17)of thereof. The distal ends (12, 17) of the catheters (10, 15) are separated so that the aspiration catheter ports (11) can be positioned on an opposing side of a surgical wound site fr om the infusion catheter ports (16). Methods of operation of the integrated infusion and aspiration system (35) provides for uninterrupted aspiration wi th concurrent controlled delivery of an infusion solution (1) such that the infusion solution (1) is substantially evenly dispersed of over the wound si te.
