FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for radiation detection in visible and infrared spectral range in photon-counting mode. Superconducting photon-counting detector for visible and infrared spectral range comprises an ultrafast superconducting single-photon detector, which comprises contact pads on a substrate and at least two identical stripes made of superconducting film of specific thickness and width between the pads. Stripe ends are connected to contact pads so as to provide for parallel connection of the stripes and each stripe is connected to a contact pad via corresponding stripe resistor. All stripe resistors are identical, their resistance being 0.5500 Ohm. According to kinetic inductance of superconducting stripes, it is selected so that switching of one of the stripes to resistive state will not cause switching of other stripes, i.e. stripe current will not exceed critical current value. Ultrafast superconducting single-photon detector is connected to DC source and to HF signal pick-up circuit front end via bias adapter. HF output of bias adapter by means of the first coaxial cable is connected to microwave amplifiers and further, by means of the second coaxial cable, to input of amplitude analyser, which counts incidenting photons, which reach the ultrafast superconducting single-photon detector. The said invention provides for counting of photons reaching the detector simultaneously, with reduced detector response time. ^ EFFECT: counting of photons reaching the detector simultaneously, with reduced detector response time. ^ 6 cl, 2 dwg |
