A plasma display panel is provided to induce charged particles participating in discharge to the long path by forming the magnetic field in the internal space of the discharge cell. The discharge space is formed between the first and second substrates(110,120). The discharge space is divided into a plurality of discharge cells(130) by the first and second partition(134, 124). A plurality of address electrode(111) intersects discharge electrodes. The protective film(135) is formed in the side wall of the first partition that surrounds the discharge cell. The induction coils(151,152) are arranged in order to surround each discharge cell within the first partition. The current applied in the induction coil forms the predetermined inductive magnetic field in the internal space of the discharge cell. The second partition for the coating region of the fluorescent substance(125) is arranged between the first partition and the second substrate. |
