<p>This invention provides a belt for an image forming apparatus, comprising at least an elastic layer provided on a base material formed of a polyimide resin, the elastic layer being formed of an imide-modified elastomer. By virtue of the above constitution, the belt for an image forming apparatus can realize high image quality and high-speed printing and has high durability. The imide-modified elastomer is preferably an imide-modified polyurethane elastomer. The storage elastic modulus E' of the imide-modified elastomer at 50°C is preferably 1.0 8 106 to 6.0 8 107 Pa. A release resin layer is preferably provided on the elastic layer.</p> |
